Women as Global Leaders Conference
In March 2008, Project Women was honored with the opportunity for Executive Director Cathe
Dykstra to participate in the 2008 Women as Global Leaders Conference in Dubai. Additionally,
Ms. Dykstra had the opportunity to share information about Project Women and its education model
for self-sufficiency with representatives from over 60 countries. This presentation, The Impact
and Role of Women in Philanthropy, presented by Todd Schmiedeler and Cathe Dykstra offered Project
Women as a Case Study for how women are changing their communities by getting involved in the causes
that matter most to them. The focus of the conference was Learning Leadership.
