Most Medical Laboratory Scientists And Their Assistants Are Women

Category: Uncategorized

Medical laboratories were dominated by men in the past. This is not the case in the modern ear. It has not been the case for decades. When someone walks into a medical lab today, they will find out that most of the people working in the lab are women. There may be one or two men doing the work of a phlebotomist or a laboratory technician, but these are the exceptions rather than the rule.

The work has not changed, but female scientists have been on the increased since the days of Madame Curie. Male doctors still dominate the upper echelons of medicine, but this is changing as well. The full explanation can be found at http://www.prweb.com/releases/prweb2011/8/prweb8740843.htm Many women have pursued medical degrees. The days when only nursing and support roles were open to women have ended. Female doctors call the shots alongside of their male colleagues.

Anyone who lives in the twenty-first century already knows that there are female doctors and that sexist attitudes of the past have changed. They are still changing. Women have made their way into every field. They still may face the glass ceiling and the old boys club, but the fact that they have broken into traditionally male positions has also let men enter into traditionally female positions.
